About the Cure Series

Charles B. Mitchell Vineyards is partnering with Dr. Ernie Bodai and Cure Breast Cancer, Inc. to create a series of limited release wines in support of breast cancer research.

The Cure Series and Club for a Cure were inspired by the success of the Breast Cancer Research Stamp, which was the first fundraising stamp in the United States. Since Dr. Bodai created the Stamp in 1995, it has gone on to sell over 980 million units and raise nearly $81 million for breast cancer research. Charles B. Mitchell Vineyards hopes this collaboration will have a similar impact in the fight against this disease. Thirty percent of the proceeds from all sales of the Cure Series will be donated to Cure Breast Cancer, Inc. to help fund the fight against breast cancer.

Dr. Bodai and Charles B. Mitchell Vineyards partnered with Insight Public Relations to create a design for the Cure Series that pays tribute to the Breast Cancer Research Stamp and raises awareness for annual screenings. Featuring a clean, minimalist look, the labels prominently display an outline of the Stamp, which depicts Diana, the Roman goddess and protector of women, reaching behind her head and pulling an arrow from her quiver to fend off an enemy. The image of Diana reflects the same position that a woman assumes for a breast self-exam and mammography.
