We are happy to announce the release of our summer club wines! Below is the list of wines for each wine club that will be available for pickup or shipped out next month:
This reserve Zinfandel fruit was grown in the southwest corner of the Mount Akum area in a sandy loom soil. Spanish Creek Vineyard is consistently harvested mid-season, allowing for good hang time. By enjoying a long growing season, the grapes are allowed to develop more intense flavor, color and complexity. As a result, this wine is full-bodied, jammy, briary and brambly with ripe cranberry flavors and just a hint of French Oak and slight black pepper finish.
2013 Stonehaven Vineyard Reserve Syrah
This single-vineyard Rhone varietal is intense with a dark purple-black color and features characters of blackberry, black raspberry, toasted oak and a smooth, supple texture. A very good candidate for cellaring, requires at least 6 months of bottle aging.
Every boat needs a case of this Chardonnay on board. Its personality shows satisfying viscocity with a touch of the sea. Enjoy this pure and crisp wine with subtle fruit flavors and mineral characteristics.
Includes Cru Club wines.
One of the winemaker’s favorites. A promise of blueberry fruit with a balance of oak and a touch of tannin to hold it together. Stunning and a medal winner in four wine competitions. Enjoy it with lighter meat, pork and poultry dishes.
Includes Cru Club and Premier Cru wines.
2013 Estate Grand Reserve
The Grand Reserve is a premium Bordeaux-style blend that represents the potential of the Fair Play AVA. This wine is full-bodied and complex with flavors of cherry, plum and spice that blend seamlessly to produce a smooth, lush wine.
This single-vineyard Zinfandel is smooth and comforting, but sophisticated and full of delicious dark fruit flavors that are ripe and satisfying. The texture is velvety and broad with a full body that is not too heavy.
The Harde Vineyard Zinfandel is enormously rich and ripe in mature fruits, including berry, cherry, currant and mocha, but its structure really warrants attention. This wine has firm, yet light tannins, fine acidity, residual sugar and a touch of minerality.
2012 San Francisco Cup Zinfandel
The label depicts a boat sailing under the Golden Gate Bridge. All boats in the SF Bay should carry a case of this Zinfandel. But why limit it to boats? Motor homes, your residence, or your van also provide a great venue for this beautiful, well-structured wine. Grilled foolds complement the sensuous spice and fruit of this wine.
